Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

Meaning: Treat people the way you want to be treated.

Origin: Jesus teaches it in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31), and it has close parallels elsewhere: Confucius says in the Analects not to impose on others what you do not wish for yourself, and the rabbi Hillel taught the same principle. Confucius and Hillel put it negatively; the Gospel version is the positive form now called the Golden Rule.
