“Good riddance”in other languages
Said when you're glad to be rid of someone or something.
English
French
Polish
Same idea, different pictures
English says it outright; Shakespeare already used “a good riddance”. French and Polish wish the person a good journey, but the tone gives it away: bon vent !, fair wind, a sailor's farewell, and krzyżyk na drogę, a little cross for the road.
