“Born yesterday”in other languages
Naive and easily fooled.
English
Croatian
Czech
Greek
Same idea, different pictures
English points to a newborn, who knows nothing of the world. It's mostly used in denial: “I wasn't born yesterday.”
Croatian and Czech have just fallen out of a fruit tree, a pear tree, pasti s kruške, or a cherry tree, spadnout z višně, and have no idea what's going on. Greek has eaten κουτόχορτο, fool's grass, an imaginary herb that takes your wits away.
